Even though think pad is one of the most lite weight and very slim laptop it comes with fantastic hardware specifications.

Laptops are getting thinner and lighter, but that hasn’t stopped manufacturers from packing them with powerful hardware. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme is a testament to that trend. Although starting at a hefty price of $1,859, the ThinkPad X1 Extreme offers a 15-inch screen (upgradable to 4K), CPU up to an Intel Core i9 and a discrete GPU in the form of an Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti.The CPUs vary from a six core i5 to an i7 and in the future even an i9. These are the 45-watt Intel Kaby lake H Series processors. Thanks to that, the RAM can be increased up to 64 GiB.
On the graphics side, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (4GiB) handles the visual workload. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 also supports up to two M.2 NVMe storage drives. The display as already mentioned above ranges from standard FHD to 4K touchscreen. The thickness too is quite impressive given the premium hardware it packs. The ThinkPad X1 is a thin notebook with a thickness of just 0.72 inches.
Lastly, the I/O consists of two USB Type-A ports, dual Thunderbolt 3 ports, an SD card reader and HDMI out. All in all, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme is suitable for a wide variety of tasks from professional rendering to moderate gaming and it can very well act as a workstation.
